I have commented on several of my classmates blogs, but apparently they comments were not posted. I've enjoyed reading each blog and they all offer great resources. One of my favorite new tools, is Google Docs. I already have incorporated some forms into my daily life as an adult educator! Thanks for sharing!
Heather,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear the blogs are still giving you trouble. I noticed Dawn posted on the class blog with a couple of possible solutions for commenting, if you haven’t seen it, hopefully it can help.
In response to your post I also love Google docs they are great and it is so helpful that you can access them from anywhere. Another fun feature Google has is their create your own custom search engine. These are great for using with students because you can control what websites the search engine pulls up. Here is a link if you want to check it out. http://www.google.com/cse/?hl=en
I had the same problem. First my cookies were wrong and then I didnt realize I had to verify my comment. This blog idea is hard to get used too.
ReplyDeleteI have never used Google docs. But I dont know much about Google except that it does email. I guess I have a lot to learn.
Heather and others--
ReplyDeleteWe've learned that Blogger is not the blog of choice for a school environment!!
They must have changed their technologies and, indirectly, caused lots of people problems. Blogger worked seamlessly in previous classes (the last few years). Next time, I'm switching to either Kidblogs or Edmodo!
Heather, I had a bit of trouble setting up the
ReplyDeletecomments and links to yourselves. In my case, I ended going up into about three different areas on my blog to make any and all changes I saw that related to linking to other blogs, and making comments. I don't know if I landed on the right one eventually, or if the combination of activations helped. I then had difficulty with how my comments were being viewed, at first it was a comment by "Anonymous". I had to go back in again and look around before I was able to turn on some mysterious switch that allowed my identity to be shown. Technology - when it's good, it's great, but when it's bad it can be so frustrating. Good Luck,
Dale
